BACK-STORY
GTA 3 is a narrative game which means that it defines the story structure, plot, characters and their background, and even the dialogues in the game. The story revolves around the main character Claude, who is a criminal. He is betrayed by his girlfriend Catalina who shoots him during a bank robbery and as a result he is caught by the police. He escapes during the prison transfer during an ambush laid by some criminals to take out another prisoner. Claude then becomes friends with a fellow prisoner 8-Ball or Guru. Guru is an explosives expert and gives shelter to Claude and introduces him to the mafia Leone family.
Claude starts working with the mafia and helps them in various missions, which earns him respect in the eyes of the drug lord, Salvatore Leone. Claude then starts to work under Salvatore. The situation takes a turn when Salvatore’s wife Maria shows interest in Claude to make his husband jealous, but things go out of control and Salvatore intends to kill the main character. Claude escapes from the city, killing his boss to cut all ties with the Leone family, and starts to work with Yakuza, owned by Kenji and his sister Asuka. During this time, he also helps some other powerful people like a corrupt police officer Ray Machowski and a great businessman, Donald Love.
Claude succeeds in an operation given by Donald in which he has to murder Kenji, to start a fight between the gangs and take all the construction sites for his dirty works. At one of Donald's construction sites, Claude meets with Catalina again, but she escapes from him. Asuka enraged on his brother’s assassination, blames the organization and takes control over the construction sites. Catalina kills both Asuka and Miguel, kidnaps Maria and Claude but is taken down by Claude as revenge and that’s where the story ends making the gamers wait for yet another exciting entry in the GTA world.
ABOUT THE LIBERTY CITY:
Welcome to the main crime city, The Liberty City. This place has given birth to many gangsters, which include murderers, drug dealers and explosives expert. It has many industrial, commercial and residential areas in the 3D universe. Construction sites are the places where most of the illegal work is done and drugs are stored. Along with missions, you can also roam around the city and visit beaches and other beautiful sceneries.
GAME MECHANICS
From walking to driving a car and car surfing, you have complete control over all things. A player can engage in activities like firefighting, a paramedic service and can also be a cab driver from which he can earn money. He can shoot people, which brings an increase in his wanted level resulting in police chasing him.
